I am Hilary,21 years of age.I am born in California but I am currently staying in the Philippines, which is my parents' birth country. I been staying here for almost a year since I am taking up acting classes in the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) (http://filmschool.ph/).My parents decide to have my studies here so that I can experience their culture and also to aid us from our financial difficulties and so far,I been having great time with my studies, in fact, I am still amazed with everything in here. The culture and the people in our school still fascinates me until and I can really that I am having the time of my life here in this side of the world.

Hi Hilary

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad that you are enjoying yourself in the Phillipines and are so open to experiencing your parents' culture. Not a lot of people get the opportunity to do that.

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Sheryl

Hi Sheryl,

Thanks for the welcome.

Very well, I am enjoying my life here as a citizen and a student.
IAFT plays a great part in helping me to get comfy with the environment and culture. With my expert professors from Hollywood and most of my classmates here are from the States, so, we get along with each other and we help each other to enjoy life as we are here. Add-ons the staff of IAFT who are very accommodating and professional, nothing to complain really. Filipinos are very hospitable, especially to other races. This are the reasons why I live here so comfy and happy. :)

How u doin? nice to be back in the forum ;) I've been very busy for my thesis I've been doing my thesis for months and waiting for someone to produce it. Finally, I got someone who is interested in producing my thesis. Her name is Maaike, a 301, and she comes highly recommended by her classmates. Although I heard that she tended to panic a bit on her shoots last term, I think she would be good for the job. Anyway, who doesn’t panic? I panicked during my producing job. The ones who can afford not to panic are the ones who’ve been doing this for a while and know how to gauge the different levels of potential disasters. The ones who don’t panic have teams beneath them handling the small details. The ones who don’t panic are the ones who’ve had whole productions collapse over them and learned from the experience. The only way is up from there. And the only way to know how to sail this ship is logging in the long days and months at sea. I’m not worried about Maaike at all. I know she’s got a good head on her shoulders and she’ll be fine. I hope Everything will be ok.. until then.. xoxo.. :)
